Rob Silverman's techniques were featured in AMERICAN ARTIST WORKSHOP MAGAZINE and THE ART OF THE PORTRAIT this past Fall. He was recently awarded First Prize by the official portraitist of JFK and Family, Aaron Shikler in the Common Thread Portrait Exhibition. 

His work has appeared at Edward Hopper House, the Lockwood-Matthews museum, the National Arts Club and Salmagundi Club .

He is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts and a member of the PORTRAIT SOCIETY OF AMERICA from whom he was awarded an Honorable Mention in their 2009 Members Competition. He has studied with Harvey Dinnerstein, Nelson Shanks, Burton Silverman and David Leffel.

His work has been juried into the following recent competitions: • 2010 Face & Figure Competition – FIRST PRIZE

• 2009 Salmagundi Club Non-Members Competition
• 2009 Art League of Long Island Members' Competition – Honorable Mention

He teaches at The National Art League, Northshore Art Academy and has demonstrated his techniques at LIAFA, Utrecht Art Supply, the Art League of Nassau County. He will be conducting a Workshop at THE ART STUDENTS LEAGUE OF NY in September.
