Rob Silverman’s techniques have been featured in AMERICAN ARTIST WORKSHOP MAGAZINE and THE ART OF THE PORTRAIT magazine. His work has appeared at Edward Hopper House, the Lockwood-Matthews museum, the National Arts Club and Salmagundi Club .
He is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts and a member of the PORTRAIT SOCIETY OF AMERICA from whom he was awarded an Honorable Mention in their Members Competition. He has studied with Harvey Dinnerstein, Nelson Shanks, Burton Silverman, David Leffel. and Andy Reiss.
He teaches at The Art Guild of Port Washington and has demonstrated his techniques at numerous venues including Long Island Academy of Fine Art, Utrecht Art Supply, the Art League of Nassau County, as well as through workshops at THE ART STUDENTS LEAGUE OF NY and BROOKLYN PUBLIC LIBRARY among others. He has been recognized with numerous awards, including 1st place medals and awards for both oil and pastel.
